Sudden loss of visioncan be caused by many things ,here are a few :

This occurs when the retina becomes separated from the nerve tissues and blood supply underneath it. While painless, visually this has a clouding effect that has been likened to a gray curtain moving across the field of vision.
Optic neuritis
This an Inflammation of a nerve or group of nerves, characterized by pain, loss of reflexes, and atrophy of the affected muscles.
Simply put Hypertension is another word for high blood pressure. High blood pressure can place a strain on the blood vessels in the eyes.

Stroke
The condition is called cortical blindness it refers to blindness due to loss or injury of the visual pathways in the brain. Sometimes people can have a stroke and not realise it ,this is important because with this condition, the vision is affected, while the eye appears to be normal. This loss of vision interferes with everyday activities, such as reading, watching television and getting out and about independently.
This is a group of diseases that can damage the eye’s optic nerve and result in vision loss and blindness.
All of these conditions can be bettered or treated with timeous treatment from a healthcare professional so do not put it off or seek home treatment.
